Abstract

Many countries in the world has used 3D map in combination with 2D map in solving some border problems and management. The development of 3D map in scientific map is indispensable. It gradually replace the way to express the image of geographic object in traditional method of 2D map- expressed by conventional symbol system. This article introduces summarily major steps, new steps in establishing 3D map com-pare with 2D mapping procedure in the tradition. Concurrently, the article shows some mat-ters which meet with difficulties, and puts the ideas to resolve, and develops 3D map in the future.
