Abstract
The accuracy of the Earth's gravity field model SGG-UGM-2 is determined base on the surveying gravity data in Southern Vietnam, with the calculation process being strict and clear. The surveying gravity data is standardised into a non-tide gravity system, which is also the tide system of the Earth's gravity field model SGG-UGM-2. The calculation shows that there are 16 gravity points in total 1540 points in the experiment area (equivalent to 1% total points), which does not meet the quality requirements, so it is removed. 1524 gravity points have satisfactory quality, which is used to calculate the accuracy of the global gravity field model. The results show that the Earth's gravity field model SGG-UGM-2 accuracy is ±4,762 mgal. It is a useful source of information for scientists and managers when using this model in the experimental area. The steps to determine the accuracy of the Earth's gravity field model in this study can be applied to other models and research areas
