Abstract
This study aims to assess the effectiveness of using the global Earth Gravity Model (EGM) in the local gravity field interpolation in Vietnam using the Collocation method. Gravity anomaly interpolation by the Collocation method and using the EGM according to the "Remove - Compute - Restore" technique have been studied. The interpolation results are evaluated by comparing them with known values. The experimental results in the Central region of Vietnam show that the precision of interpolation of gravity anomalies in the study area has increased 2.5 times when using the EGM according to the "Remove - Calculate - Restore" technique, and Gravity anomaly deviations have decreased significantly compared to when the EGM model is not used. This result has demonstrated the effectiveness of using the EGM in the local gravity field interpolation
