Abstract

Remote sensing technology has been widely applied and is increasingly becoming an industry providing practical products and services with high practical significance. However, remote sensing activity in Vietnam still lacks the necessary legal tools. Licensing remote sensing activities in developed countries has become mandatory in remote sensing development and application. Each country has regulations on granting licenses for remote sensing activities with a specific term. The licensing of remote sensing activity is based on the prescribed procedure and licensing conditions. The article evaluates the scientific basis and practical requirements for licensing remote sensing activities in Vietnam, thereby proposing some contents to institutionalize the licensing of remote sensing activities based on the legal basis and practical requirements in Vietnam.
