Abstract

The paper presents the survey results on requisite of terrain elevation data employed for simulating terrain effects in height anomalies (∆ζ) in Vietnam. The results show inappreciable effect of the root mean square error of terrain elevation to the accuracy ∆ζ. Thus, employing the model of digital terrain at scale of 1/50,000 in integrated areas with effective radius of about 50km in calculating ∆ζ in Vietnam can guarantee the sufficiency.
