Abstract
Recently, the substainable development at the mountainous regions in general and at the Dong Sang commune, Moc Chau district, Son La province in particular bases fundamentally on the exploiting, using and protecting status of land resource. By mean of analysis land use status of the ethnic minorities at the Dong Sang Commune indicating that: applying the suitable cultivating methods on the sloping land are not good enough; protective forest at the high mountain region of the commune is not protected that led to the erosion and the land quality has reduced. This article mention some solutions which contribute to the substantial using orientation of land resource at Dong Sang commune including: building and reconstructing the road and irrigation systems; establishing the substantial economic - ecological models for farmer households; encouraging cultivate the verdure, bean, peanut and grass bands on the sloping land to protect the land and environment.
