Abstract

The paper introduces a principle of using elippsoid as a height reference surface in seabed surveying and mapping and present some results of its applying in Vietnam. There are pointed out feasibility and efficiency of this solution especially thanks to removing tide observation needed in a traditional technology and to providing high constancy in time and flexibility in application of seabed surveying and mapping data.
