Abstract

This article considers solving problems related to determining of conditions for choise of island and observation point on it with purpose of the estimation of the sea level change by repeat absolute gravimetric observations on the off-shore islands under influence of the global climate change. Research results show that island satisfying proposed conditions has no big dimensiom, has not circled small islands and observation point is the higher in relation to sea level the better. Apart from that the change of acceleration of gravity on observation point depends on increased mass of sea water near and around selected island.
